Brand Manager - Food

Our client, a dynamic & inspirational food company enjoying phenomenal growth, require an experienced Brand Manager to join their team on the South Coast of England.

Supported and guided by the Marketing Manager, the Brand Manager will be responsible for proactively managing the implementation of Annual Business and Brand Plans. The post holder will manage the performance of existing food products and the develop and implement projects that meet consumer needs and deliver continued profitable growth.

The successful candidate will become the portfolio champion within the business. They will demonstrate strong awareness of consumer needs within the category, a critical understanding of the market dynamics, competitor performance, and commercial delivery in order to highlight and address potential opportunities and threats.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

* Portfolio Management - Managing the day to day performance of the range, ensuring that the range fits brand positioning, strategy and consumers evolving needs.
* Market, Consumer & Shopper Insight & Analysis - Develop a thorough understanding of consumer needs in order to identify risks and opportunities
* Brand & Communication Plans- Development & Implementation - Day to day implementation of the brand plan and activities.
* Food Development & Innovation - Responsible for managing and driving forward projects from concept to launch.

What we are looking for:

A numerate, commercially astute individual ideally with full marketing mix experience and proven ability of developing and delivering brand activity and category growth

Commercial FMCG background, with experience in analysing market and financial data and delivering insight to the business (Candidates with Food industry experience will have a distinct advantage.)

Experience of operating as part of a small team & driving own agenda

Proven ability in the planning, project management and launch of new products

Experienced in developing relationships cross functionally and with external partners

Academic Qualifications - ideally to degree level.
