Our client has a new and exciting opportunity for a Telephony/IT Technician. You will be the internal expert on all areas of Telephony providing remote and onsite support to operations across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and Salisbury.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing on-going maintenance and support of existing standalone switchboard systems and associated desk and cordless phones; Adhoc Cat5e data cabling; Programming changes to switchboards and hunt groups; Fulfilling onsite training requirements; Advising onsite management of capabilities of switchboard units; Maintain full audit database of all telephony equipment; Ensure all critical telephony equipment is protected by UPS; Advising Management of future strategy with Telecoms, isdn30 v SIP; Analyse monthly spend on calls and line rentals, to identify potential cost savings.
Your skills will include: Strong and proven knowledge of Panasonic KXTDA switchboard units; Knowledge of Toshiba strata switchboards desirable; Strong capability with Cat5e data cabling, knowledge of fibre optic also advantageous; Excellent fault finding ability across all telephony and Cat5e cabling; Knowledge of other manufacturer switchboard systems to be able to advise of the best technologies to utilise alongside the companys strong retail strategy; Excellent communication skills, interaction with every member of staff is essential, including Board Directors; Professional appearance is required at all times.
